marketing scheme

Okay, so enough ranting about how much I "love" my job already! With this job comes more than just crazy customers....there comes crazy mangers too. We have so much to do for just being cashier, I mean they're ridiculously strict on us that you'd think we're curing cancer or something. One of our jobs as a cashier is to try to sell what they call our WOW item on our checkstand. That day it was toothbrushes for .98 cents. I was at my checkstand for 5+ hours without selling one, and got in so much trouble, until an incentive came along. Seems a little silly but the one who sold the most within an hour won $5! I busted my butt for that hour, not only for 5 bucks, but so that I wouldn't get in anymore trouble. HAHA. Anyways I did everything I could to sell those toothbrushes, including a bit of flirting with customers if I had to...and what do you know, I won selling 17 within an hour. I went from 0-1 real quick. That was it for me. I let someone else handle the next round.
